6 Best Motorcycles for Heavy Riders

The inventions of the 21st century haven’t been so favorable to the human physique. The number of people that have gained obesity has increased over the past few decades. People have to think twice before they can do anything if they are physically capable of doing it. Like riding a motorcycle can be difficult for a person who is fat. Most bikes are manufactured for the height of an average-sized man, who is about 5’9”. But what about the rest. Unfortunately, fat persons do not fit as quickly as an average size person would. But on the brighter sight, manufacturers launched variants in almost all categories that could fit a fat person’s desires in the bikes. There are various kinds of motorcycles, aggressive, sport, cruiser, adventure, which are available now for heavy riders.

6 Best Motorcycles for Heavy Riders

1. Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R

In the supersport category, there is the 2020 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R. It has a 636cc engine with inline-4 with 127 horsepower. Coming to the central aspect of the topic, it weighs around 430 lbs. Although it’s a heavy bike with an impeccable engine, it can reach top speeds. Compared with its competition HodaCBR500R, the engine capacity is lesser, but the Kawasaki can accommodate a heavier person better than its competition. The supersport models are not to be recommended to new and inexperienced drivers. With tier high torque displacement capacity, they are hard to control and dangerous in some cases

2. Kawasaki Ninja 650

The Kawasaki ninja 650 has proven to be a good ride for overweight persons coming to the sports motorcycle category. The Kawasaki ninja has a 649cc engine with parallel twin cylinders with 67 horsepower. The bike weighs as much as a Kawasaki ZX-6R but has a lesser torque of 47lbs-ft. With the lesser power and torque, it is easier to control the bike. A smooth ride is acceptable as long as the driver is cautious and reacts within time.

3. 2020 Suzuki SV650

Coming to the aked sport model, the 2020 Suzuki SV650 offers a great ride. It has an a645cc V-twin cylinder with a 75 hp engine. Coming to the weight of the bike, it weighs 429lbs, which is not much different compared to both the Kawasaki models. It has almost the Kawasaki ninja 650 and 47lbs-ft torque engine but does not go with the same torque as the ninja because of its less aerodynamic design. The Suzuki sv650 is, however, is a better bike than the Kawasaki for beginners. With the naked body and the chassis, it is easier to control and turn the bike.

4. Kawasaki Vulcan 900 classic

Among all the motorcycles, cruisers are my favorite. Although they weigh a lot heavier than the other categories, the ride on a cruiser is much smoother and comfier than the rest. For the fat guy series, the 2020 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 classic would offer the best smooth ride there is. It comes with a 903cc V-twin cylinder engine with 50 hp. While coming to its weight, it weighs about 657 lbs, wow! The weight and the chassis of the motorcycles make it hard for the riders to make turns. The cruiser model is not suggested for beginners and intermediate drivers; the bike’s weight is way beyond their capacities. It’s an excellent ride for heavy persons considering the importance it would easier to balance. With a lesser torque, the chances of getting into fatal speed accidents decrease.

5. Honda Rebel 500

In the sport cruiser series, the Honda rebel 500 is the perfect option for beginners. It comes with a 471cc parallel twin-cylinder engine of 50hp. It weighs 414lbs and gives a 32lbs-ft torque. The torque is the least of all models discussed till now, but the easy maneuverability makes this a perfect fit for noobs. Although it seems less of a model, it can carry heavy weight and climb up easily. The 471 cc lies entirely n between the overpowering 900cc series and small 250 ccs, making it the only model in the category with that engine displacement.

6. Honda CB500X

The last category is the adventurer category. The 2020 Honda CB500X is a good ride for overweight persons and people who are tall. The CB500X comes with a 471cc parallel twin-cylinder with a 50hp engine. It has a 32lbs- ft torque and weighs 430lbs. Adventure bikes are used for off-roading, which requires not only useful but a great suspension. Considering the weight of the rider in this case, the suspension has to be much more efficient and stronger than expected. The CB500X is the perfect bike for this case. It has the power for good highway speeds as well as for off-road rides. The bike handling is ideal for the issue and is also a well-fit model for beginners.
